UNCOVERED: All Cunts Are Beautiful

In the claymation UNCOVERED: ALL CUNTS ARE BEAUTIFUL, Gio Formenti explores how heteronormative media has damaged the idea of vulva, and subsequently the self-image of people with vulvas. Uncovering the myth of the "perfect" vulva caused by the heteronormative media’s deceptive nature, the film aims to spread an awareness of how all shapes and forms of vulvae are beautiful. The film adresses issues such as gender identity, body image, and anatomy, these having been largely misrepresented in mainstream media aimed at cis-het-white men.

Somewhere warm and queer ☀️

What was the most challenging experience during your studies?
Having to deal with 300 subjects in one semester, but I did chose all of them, so I guess... planning?
Who or what inspires you?
Pretty much anything/everything in my surroundings, but of course the queer community plays a big role, because of the life and colours.
How do you approach a new project?
By searching for references, sketching and figuring out what I actually wanna do.
What advice would you give to students who just started studying in your programme?
Honestly, just try all subjects from all courses that you're allowed to choose.
The inter-disciplinary-access 👾 that is offered, is one of the most amazing things.
Have you changed during your studies? How?
I did grow a lot throughout these 4 years and especially after my internship.
I started trusting more in my potential and letting go of irrational fears. Therapy also helps...
Why did you choose to study in your programme?
Because of the flexibility that there is inside the field of Illustration. It is not just about drawing, as many people perceive.
What are you not going to miss in your studies?
The uni's building 😰🪦
How are you going to celebrate your graduation?
Getting trashed in a bar, now that Merkel has approved our prison's release 💉🩸
