What was the most challenging experience during your studies?
When I could not come up with an idea for a course. It worked best, when I started a course with something in mind already.
What advice would you give to students who just started studying in your programme?
The most important with every project that you creat is, that you like it, not anyone else. There is no sense in creating something that you can not really use later, but will just sit in your (digital) shelf.
Have you changed during your studies? How?
I am not sure, if I would study photography again.
Why did you choose to study in your programme?
When I looked at the University for the first time at an open day I was amazed by the darkroom and all the possibilities that were given with it. That was the only reason I applied for the photography program. Sadly during the semesters there is hardly time to create the projects in the darkroom, because we speak about our works and progress every week. Its not possible to do that with analog photography (at least that was my experience).
What are you not going to miss in your studies?
Deadlines.
