Jacob Andrews

Junior Project Manager at New Moon Production

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

Working in a more senior position in my current field (Project Management), Skiing in the winter, Surfing in the summer.

What is a good design for you?

Simple and affirmative. The best designs have beauty in their simplicity.

What was the most challenging experience during your studies?

Work/study/relationship/life balance. The synergy (and sometime not) of these elements have provided some big life lessons over the last 5 years.

Who or what inspires you?

The people in my life who have lead extraordinary lives and my parents

How do you approach a new project?

Think of the skills and weaknesses of your team, what can they achieve and until when? Start slightly ambitions and don't be afraid to scope down. Never fear killing your darlings.

What advice would you give to students who just started studying in your programme?

Have fun and try not to stress. University is about learning, the person you walk in as will pail in comparison to the person who leaves. Grow together, support each-other and don't take anything more seriously than you have to. Nothing is a race.

Have you changed during your studies? How?

Undoubtably. University is always a time of change in one's life. That combined with job experience and the pandemic has led my comrades and I to have much stronger characters.

Why did you choose to study in your programme?

I knew the field I wanted to study and I knew that I would never succeed unless I invested myself into something I was passionate about.

What are you not going to miss in your studies?

Deadlines and scheduling.

How are you going to celebrate your graduation?

After all this work I'm probably just going to go to bed.

Say hi!
