Behnoosh Ebrahimzadeh

I am a master's student in the field of Innovation Design Management at UE University in Potsdam and recently submitted my Master's thesis. This course describes the interface between Innovation Design and Business Development.
As a Senior Architect, I love to face new, complex challenges in order to find an integrated solution based on design, economy, technology, and sustainability.

What is a good design for you?

In 20 years, I see myself as a successful and experienced business consultant, helping companies and organizations to create innovative and sustainable solutions, leveraging my expertise in design, economy, technology, and sustainability. I also hope to continue my professional growth through further education and research, with the ultimate goal of making a meaningful impact on society.

What was the most challenging experience during your studies?

The most challenging experience during my studies was completing my Master's thesis. I had to develop a complex research design that incorporated multiple aspects of innovative design and business development. I had to search for relevant data, analyze it deeply, and that could be implemented in the real world. It was a difficult and time-consuming process.

Who or what inspires you?

My inspiration comes from the desire to be creative and solve complex challenges. I am inspired by the opportunity to create something new, to use my creativity to find innovative solutions and to bridge the gap between design, economy, technology and sustainability. Seeing the results of my work come alive and having a positive impact on society is a major source of motivation for me.

How do you approach a new project?

When I am faced with a new project, I like to begin by taking a step back and conducting research. I like to gain an understanding of the project’s scope, objectives, and any constraints or limitations. After that, I like to create a strategic plan that not only takes into account my research but also considers the resources and skills to me.

What advice would you give to students who just started studying in your programme?

My advice to students who are just starting their studies in my program would be to take the time to explore the various topics, research the latest trends, and ask questions to your professors and peers.

Have you changed during your studies? How?

Yes, I have definitely changed during my studies. I have become more confident in my ability to draw a correlation between design, economy, technology, and sustainability. I have also gained an enhanced understanding of the innovation process and how to apply it to real-world business scenarios. Additionally, I have acquired new skills in research, project management, and communication that will help me become a more effective architect.

Why did you choose to study in your programme?

wanted to pursue a course where I can learn how to effectively manage the innovation process and develop strategies for sustainable business growth.
I find this program to be an ideal choice for me as it offers a balance between theoretical and practical learning. It covers topics related to innovation management and provides a platform for the practical application of knowledge in the form of group projects.

What are you not going to miss in your studies?

I won't miss the pressure of deadlines and having to juggle multiple assignments at once.

How are you going to celebrate your graduation?

I am far from my family, and I haven't seen my girls and family for almost 10 months now. So, I'm planning on having a small virtual celebration with them.

Say hi!
