Victoria Lucas 1953

Theresa Bull

Theresa Bull's project VICTORIA LUCAS 1953 explores the possibilities of storytelling through packaging design. The designs communicate the main themes and progressions in Sylvia Plath's semi-autobiographical novel ‘The Bell Jar‘. The three visual phases represent individual parts in the narrative. The project combines the fictional story with the author's experiences as a woman in the 1950s.

Who or what inspires you?

Young creatives that aren't afraid to express themselves through their art.

Have you changed during your studies? How?

I'm much more confident in my abilities and in my voice as a designer.
Not everyone's visions are better or more important than my own.

What are you not going to miss in your studies?

I'll miss being around other young designers and watching each other grow as artists and designers.

How are you going to celebrate your graduation?

By giving myself a break and finally figuring out my place in the design world.

Say hi!
