Introducing 'DEAR HOME', a photo book by Patricia Chavez. Patricia seeks to unravel stereotypes and challenge self-made assumptions associated with specific cultures. Born in one city and now calling another home, Patricia's lens intricately weaves the urban tapestries of Muscat and Berlin with intimate portraits. ‘DEAR ‘HOME transcends a mere collection of images; it embodies Patricia's thesis on the interplay between communication design and photography, with the goal of broadening our perspectives on cultural dynamics. The inclusion of personal notes within this collection adds depth to the experience, inviting individuals to delve further into their emotions beyond what meets the eye.
For me it's definitely different, I had to work and study at the same time to support my studies,
but that's what shaped me after all the years of efforts and hardships.
Don't be afraid to be yourself, have a good foundation of a support system!
And whatever you are doing or wherever you may be in life,
just know that you will get through the end and feel so grateful you did it.
I'd say I am not the same person I was when I started as a 1st semester student.
