In today’s world, our attention has a high price tag, major companies are constantly discovering new methods to attract it. As a result, our attention is divided, our attention span is decreasing, and our autonomy over our attention is becoming scarce. Designers are in the position to capture and retain this attention. With the right techniques, designers have a lot of control over where people's attention is drawn. 

The goal of Mailka's project was to create weekly videos with engaging thumbnails and an increase in watch time weekly. She has only scratched the surface of what it means to be a designer in the attention economy. But is excited to continue pursuing YouTube and learning to crack the attention economy formula.
