Smairter / AI-supported E-Learning

Levent Simsek

The world of education is on the brink of a revolution! Nobody wants to take lessons by following the curriculum in ordinary classrooms anymore.

Students want to focus on the lessons in the light of their abilities and interests and do this by gamification. Just like in a date application, they expect the system to know what they like and suggest lessons accordingly. While learning, they want to follow their performance and learn by interacting with the instructor, articles, and quizzes of that course, not just by watching the video.

With artificial intelligence-supported machine learning, Smairter creates a learning map according to the user's goals, class level, and interests, starting from the introduction part of the application.

On the other hand, the guardian part designed for parents gives parents a chance to observe their children's interests and performances, who are far away during the day and have little chance to observe them.

Ex marketing designer, I have worked for more than 10 years as a brand designer. Now Berlin-based UI&UX Designer for a health app. Same time training myself on the app interface and UX which is beneficial to humanity.

I LOVE typography, colors, compositions, forms design, balance, and clean design
I HATE full-filled pages, pushing designers to ideas, shapes, and forms that will never sit still Realism I IMAGINE and I don’t know how to stop about creativity follow my passion, go outside and catch new ideas, think out of the box, Learn more, Do more, Be more

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

While dining and drinking wine by the lake with my team as the product manager of an application that makes people's lives easier and better

What is a good design for you?

Minimal and Clean

What was the most challenging experience during your studies?

Working with multicultural people and choose the best idea for our projects

Who or what inspires you?

Same time as a freelance photographer I'm always searching for inspiration on the outside because life is waiting to inspire us with lights, sounds, and a lot of things for our senses.

How do you approach a new project?

I always start with empathy. I would like to know where the user with it will have problems or how they will feel. Therefore, I empathize with my insights.

What advice would you give to students who just started studying in your programme?

Search more, Learn more, Do more, Be more - You have to be always open to new challenges.
Personal note: Dont be shy, no one will judge you with your knowledge or your experiences. Everyone will be ready for helping you

Have you changed during your studies? How?

So much! (That is a super positive thing). I learned to consult and work with a group and also communicate with multicultural people - this is never easy but I learned to look at different perspectives and discussion on all of these ideas.

Why did you choose to study in your programme?

At first glance, the user experience can only be thought of as on mobile devices or on the computer screen, but I wanted to gain the ability to think and apply this way that it exists in every moment of life.

What are you not going to miss in your studies?

Group discussion

How are you going to celebrate your graduation?

Life is surviving in Germany somehow, I photoshoots due to busy work and school schedule but now time to start again fashion photography :) This is the best celebration for me.

Say hi!
