Vivek John Puri
COVID-19 changed the year 2020. The effect of this crisis has spread all over the world in such a way that now we see how people have put barriers between each other: Some out of fear, but mostly out of obligation. Social interaction in public spaces has ceased. 19 CHANGED 20 provides evidence of this situation by displaying the change in normally crowded spaces. Such a collection of pictures will help future generations to think, feel, and connect to a time impossible to describe only with words. It will be a memory of culture for the generations to come.

After several years of working as a freelance photographer and studying the craft, I truly believe that every picture has a story within it that is waiting to be told. Capturing these stories is not only my profession, but my passion.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
As a famous documentary photographer.
What is a good design for you?
It should have an eye-catching element.
What was the most challenging experience during your studies?
The deadlines for presenting my work as well as organising time with my studies.
Who or what inspires you?
Robert Frank is one of my biggest inspirations when I am behind the lens.
How do you approach a new project?
Firstly determine the concept. Then, with a lot of energy and excitement, approach the project.
What advice would you give to students who just started studying in your programme?
Grasp as much as you can from your professors. Uni is a place where you experiment and learn from the field you have chosen to study. So experiment as much as you can and have fun with art.
Have you changed during your studies? How?
Yes, I feel I am more punctual now than before and I have gotten better in my skills as well.
What are you not going to miss in your studies?
The deadlines for submitting my work.
How are you going to celebrate your graduation?
A pint of beer and friends while social distancing.
