The project CHIMERA: SHATTERED VISIONS is a large-scale painting created on a canvas made from worn clothes found in second-hand stores. This work is deeply connected with the myths and legends of the Chimera, a mythical creature combining parts of different animals, which has captured the imagination of many cultures throughout history.
The fabrics of the clothes, each with its own unknown and unique story, are brought together to gain new value and functionality. The canvas is created by tearing the clothes into pieces and sewing them together. Through these acts of destruction and formation, the symbolic essence of the Chimera's image - unity and transformation - is emphasized. At the same time, decomposition and destruction, which are aesthetically highlighted, play an important role and become the key to reconstruction. In a way, the Chimera itself is a synthesis of materials, a combination of the incompatible, whose image reflects chaos, destructive, and irrational forces.
Size: 100 cm x 200 cm
