The current linear economic model follows a take-make-waste process, leading to critical issues such as reducing natural resources, causing climate change and severely damaging the ecosystem. The circular economy can be a solution in which we can keep the products and resources in circulation as long as possible, and eventually cycling the materials back into production to create a zero- waste value chain. However, this shift is full of challenges and will need a transformation using systemic approaches. Mayuri Konwar outlines the approach of shifting via a process of digital innovation and recommends best practices for companies.
