PHOTON FINS are partition walls. Their entire surface emits colored light scores. The project addresses patients in healthcare facilities who require chemotherapy or hemodialysis. These patients have to spend many hours sitting in a treatment chair. The Photon Fins are able to create privacy and a sense of security for individual patients or small groups. The individually controlled lighting situation enters into interaction with consciousness and subconsciousness relieving stress, fears, and depression. Photon Fins support the somatic medical therapy and improve patients’ quality of life. The Photon Fins are universally applicable. The models presented here are build to a scale of 1:4.
