Faces To Read

This is a series of paintings dedicated to five beautiful fictional women. The artworks introduce and focus on the diverse personas behind the characters. Working on the portraits, Jekaterina Dibanina has mainly been inspired by Russian literature classics and symbolism. Presenting these artworks, she aims to contemplate on the idea of re-thinking the classic pictorial representation of a character through the prism of contemporary art.
