Nightshades: Souls Lost

NIGHTSHADES:SOUL LOST is a Alpha Prototype for a paranormal story game. Inmspired by games like "Simulacra", Nightshades is played on a smartphone interface and might wake the players voyouristic tendencies.
As the player, you find a lost phone and can start reading through messages and notes to find out the history of what happend and what is coming.

Look at pictures and try to decipher the code in them. Look closely or you might miss it.

Try not to get lost in the mystery.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

Hopefully still in the Game Design area, doing what I like

What is a good design for you?

Aesthetically pleasing.

What was the most challenging experience during your studies?

Art. I am in no means an Artist, when it comes to drawing.

Who or what inspires you?

A game designer i am inspired by is Toby Fox. He built Undertale almost completly alone and it has an important meaning to me.

How do you approach a new project?

I try to figure out what to do first, while complete planning never really works.

What advice would you give to students who just started studying in your programme?

Try to immediatly start your project, otherwise you're gonna regret it. But enjoy your time and find some good friends.

Have you changed during your studies? How?

I've got a new passion for writting and narrative through my time studying at UE.

Why did you choose to study in your programme?

I always loved games, especially story heavy games. After already having worked in a completly different field, I decided to follow something that has more to do with my interest.
And here I am now

What are you not going to miss in your studies?

Non game related Theory and my own created time crunch every semester

How are you going to celebrate your graduation?

Not sure yet, but Alcohol is incorparated in the planning
