Roxana Rios

Roxana Rios, based in Leipzig and Nuremberg, marks the start of our three-part lecture series on photography.

Roxana states: “Part one of FIGURE, FORM concerns identity processes as an afab, read as female, Trans woman, FLINT - person, within the binary and thus internalized environment. A central approach of the work is to question and deny attributions and develop them further. FIGURE, FORM aims to formulate and represent queer feminist perspectives and to take up space.

To saw at the corners of normatives, open up spaces – not to think separately but intersectionally, break the eurocentric and binary normative and mean diversity.“
