"Kloeckner.i is the Innovation Lab of one of the largest producer-independent distributors of steel and metal products, Klöckner. This business unit deals with the innovation, digitization and customer focus of the company's offer.
The challenge for the students:
“How can we make the shopping experience in the Klöckner B2B online shop more personal, in a world where many of our customers still prefer to speak to our salespeople over the phone?”
The students were given the task to research and understand the problem: customer experience, customer needs, business environment and technical constraints.
They must model research insights, and explore journey mapping, opportunities and challenges, problem statements or how-might-we questions.
Through this they generate ideas and create possible future scenarios for the framed problem; evaluation of ideas. They then decide for the most promising strategy and describe it in a tangible way; validate strategy, present it and engage stakeholders."
