By disfiguring photogrammetric scans of inherently anthropomorphic figures, Sylvia Rybak conducts a personal exploration of the concept of visual anthropomorphism and how it impacts our empathy towards non-human forms. The avatars are placed in visually overstimulating, digital worlds, which present a possible technological posthuman future, where the concept of a physical human body is redefined.
