On Ice: A Short Documentary

ON ICE is a short documentary that shows an insight into the world of figure skating, more specifically Ice Dance, through the story of Karla Maria Karl. She went from single skating to ice dance after a knee injury. After her first partner quit, she was alone for two years. Then, she found Kai. However, Karla had to leave juniors to skate with him. The film explains how levels in figure skating work.

What is a good design for you?
Still looking for it.
What was the most challenging experience during your studies?
I don't think there was anything challenging. I had a great time and good classmates to work on assignments with.
Who or what inspires you?
My mentor.
How do you approach a new project?
Brainstorm a lot. Do a research. Have fun.
What advice would you give to students who just started studying in your programme?
Don't be afraid to experiment.
Have you changed during your studies? How?
I started university when I was 18. 3 years in Berlin toughen you up.
Why did you choose to study in your programme?
I always liked editing videos, I would make edits of my favourite figure skaters haha.
What are you not going to miss in your studies?
Writing to the service center. With those tickets, sometimes your email gets lost.
How are you going to celebrate your graduation?
I am going to party with my dear friends!
