Gamification in the Workplace: Potential to Enhance Employee Engagement and Job Satisfaction

This thesis explores how gamification can be implemented in the workplace and what benefits and other results it can lead to for businesses integrating it into their processes. It also outlines practices to keep in mind when designing a gamified system and some of the pitfalls that should be avoided to maintain the effectiveness of the system.

The study consists of a thorough review of existing literature, interviews with human resources professionals, and an analysis of survey data to gain a comprehensive understanding of the effectiveness of gamification.

Why did you choose to study in your programme?

The course provided a good mix of the design principles previously learned and management principles. This enables students to achieve proficiency in a cross-disciplinary manner and also develop solutions.
