KNOTS is a photographic book in which Nikolaus Fuchs explores the themes of surveillance and cultural primitivism. Through a series of photographs, the reader is invited to take a glimpse into a parallel world inhabited by a group of people in self-imposed exile in the wild, outside of the reach of mass surveillance and social control.
This project is in direct relation to my thesis in which I analyse surveillance systems and their critical engagement in artistic practices.

Very much so, I have found new ways to express myself.
